The government changes relating to landlord regulations have not discouraged landlords investing, instead they continue to see a healthy return on their investments and rents, as London's rental stock fell dramatically over the last 12 months according to studies carried out by ARLA Propertymark. This has been echoed by the recent English Housing Survey released in December 2021, they found there is a clear difference between London and the rest of England - 27% of properties are rented privately in the capital, versus 17% in the rest of the UK.
