What people like about The Bush is its wide selection and quality of good food choices and dining experiences. And here we really are spoilt for choice, with a wonderful array of eateries and, er, drinkeries?!
There are newcomers and long established businesses living happily side by side, offering an excellent and authentic experience ranging from foodie pubs through to "swanky sophistication".
Just to highlight some of the superb and diverse selections that exist in our area, and positively not wishing to exclude the many others, these are just 5 examples:
The Pocket Watch, in Uxbridge Road, is a finely refurbished Brakspear pub that replaced what was probably considered the 'least best' in the area, The British Queen. It is now a very trendy food pub with a great atmosphere to enjoy drinks and a bite to eat (and the perfect location to watch all sporting events with its two large screens), and just another example of the ever developing area.
Abu Zaad, in Uxbridge Road, is an authentic Syrian cuisine restaurant that receives glowing reviews. It is complete with elaborate hanging lamps, carved wood and patterned mosaics and has a fabulous traditional menu, which includes an extensive choice of kebabs from the barbecue alongside a host of more intriguing options!
Habanera, in Uxbridge Road, has proved a great success and, despite having only opened a year, was awarded Mexican restaurant of the year after impressing judges at the prestigious Latin UK awards! Its spicy tacos and creative cocktails clearly won over the judges, as the quirky restaurant beat off competition from 200 entries to be among the final 12 winners, each showcasing a different Latin cuisine.
Adams Café, in Askew road, is an establishment of great contrast that has been picking up plaudits for coming up to 20 years. By day it is a traditional and tasty British cafe but at night transforms into a fully licensed North African/Mediterranean restaurant, which as been described as "beguiling", serving lovely couscous and tagines!
The Bush Dining Hall, in Uxbridge road, is inspired by its Edwardian next door neighbour, and the live music venue, Bush Hall. This neighbourhood restaurant brings all day classic European dining. It won a Time Out "Love London" Award in 2014 and is a great spot in the morning for families and mums having coffee, and in the evening a popular casual place for a younger crowd; and anyone else who wants good food and/or fancies a drink!
Little Feast a pop up bar/restaurant - adjacent to Shepherd's Bush Market (Goldhawk Road entrance)- it is festively themed and well worth a visit. Showcasing some of London's finest purveyors of food including grilled fish by Green Goat, juicy burgers by Cheeky Burger and sweet treats from Bad Brownie.
