Sailing Along...

Posted on Thursday, February 19, 2015

There is a strong, favourable, wind filling the sails of the building boom in Shepherds Bush driving it forward at a rate of knots. There are numerous developments being constructed in the area from the large scale, such as the Westfield Expansion to the smaller private developments along the Goldhawk Road.

Prime examples of the wide range of choice available, Sovereign Court - in Glenthorne Road, Hammersmith - leasehold flats are available up to the value of £2.2m; while in Shepherds Bush smaller amount of investment will buy you a property in a brand new scheme - that is being handled by our good selves - on Goldhawk Road (ranging from £465k to £760k). In addition, Kerr & C. are also handling a brand new, seven flat, construction in Devonport Road - which will be offering 2-3 bed accommodation - that will be launched and available in the spring.

These developments are all part of a larger regeneration of area, mainly centred around Goldhawk Road and Wood lane, that are adding to the growing buzz around Shepherds Bush. Over the coming years these various developments will deliver a staggering a minimum of 3,500 new homes and infrastructure improvements to Shepherd's Bush

Property prices have stabilised over the past 6 months but once again demand is exceeding supply, so inevitably there will be positive pressure on prices, particularly over a busy spring period. We certainly consider that now is the best time to consider buying, as there are signs that sellers are waiting until after the General Election before deciding to move.

This view is confirmed and emphasised with the widely held view within recent media reports highlighting that "the next six months is the best time to buy a home", with the news that there may never be a more affordable time to buy a house or step on the ladder for the first time. Official figures have revealed that certain mortgage rates have almost halved over the past year, and costs are predicted to fall further over the next six months as lenders become increasingly competitive at a time when they are already offering hugely attractive deals.

So, should you be considering buying at this prime time - or indeed selling or renting in the Shepherd's Bush area - and would like the very best advice and service from an (award winning!), independent agent with the local knowledge and expertise to give you the complete picture, we'd be delighted to welcome you aboard!
