Helping Landlords Through New Government Regulations

News at Kerr & Co | 02/06/2021

Our Property Managers and Letting Negotiators have been on the property front line since the pandemic started in March 2020.

Self-isolation, home working and furlough has resulted in a major readjustment for everyone. However, for landlords its been extra challenging - as the move from office to home working became the new normal over the last 14 months.

During this difficult year Kerr and Co understood addressing expectations, have been tricky for over-whelmed landlords and very stressful for tenants during self-isolation. In addition to this - the regulatory landscape has become more complicated during COVID-19.

In particular, changes on evictions and late fees, as well as other local laws being passed to help keep renters in their homes. The property manager role and expertise on legal matters, has become even more valuable than it was a year ago.

To help our landlords we have covered these in our bulletin, which we hope you find useful. We are very proud that throughout the lockdown we have remained open and our teams of trades men have continued to fix taps, repair broken appliances, mend leaking roofs and broken boilers to ensure Tenants remained at home, especially as their living and working space merged into one.

As a result a many of our landlords have taken advantage of our Full Management Service which normally appeal to those who don't live in the area or have become an accidental landlord , this however this is no longer the case.

We are here to help whatever your situation. Whether you have a property to Rent, Sell or Buy we have over 30 years experience in Shepherds Bush and Hammersmith to help you make the right decision.
