Amore: Jazz and World Music Night

Riverside Studios is hosting an eclectic line up of jazz, funk and soul bands, singer-songwriters, poets and spoken-word artists.

The Good Father 

Murmuration Studios and Resonate Film & Theatre present The Good Father by Christian O’Reilly.
It’s New Year’s Eve and most of the party guests are in the kitchen admiring photos of their babies. But two lonely strangers find themselves cut off from the rest. Jane was invited because she knows the people in the kitchen. Tim was invited because he painted the kitchen.

Jazz Spring 2024 Concert: Her Song
Monday 25th March

In a month that marks International Women’s Day, and hot on the heels of a Grammys dominated by female artists, Addison Jazz celebrates female composers and arrangers with Her Song, a concert that ranges from the up tempo I Feel the Earth Move Under My Feet and Ain’t No Mountain High Enough through to the reflective Blue Motel Room from Joni Mitchell.

Join us for a fun night of quizzing in the Lyric Bar! Put your general (and artistic) knowledge to the test while supporting the Lyric.
Guests can bring a team of up to six people, or come solo and join a team of other solo quizzers. Every member of the winning team will receive a prize, so it’s all to play for! Tickets are £25 per person and will include one free drink and nibbles for the table. To book a full table, book six tickets and save £50.

The Irish Cultural Centre is hosting an evening of storytelling, poetry and revelry, celebrating the creativity and power of Irish women.

Friday 15th March

Join Ardal O’Hanlon, a stand up comedian and star of such shows as Father Ted, Death in Paradise, and recently seen in Taskmaster and Would I Lie to You, at the Irish Cultural Centre for his acclaimed comedy show.  Joining Ardal O’Hanlon are stand up comedians Caroline McEvoy and Grace Mulvey, and a special guest MC, who is soon to be announced.

The Motive and the cue
Thursday 21st March

A new play by Jack Thornem directed by Sam Mendes.

The play is set in 1964 and follows Richard Burton, newly married to Elizabeth Taylor, who is to play the title role in an experimental new Broadway production of Hamlet. But as rehearsals progress, two ages of theatre collide, and the collaboration between actor and director John Gielgud soon threatens to unravel.

Dirty Dancing Live In Concert
Tuesday March 19th 

The timeless love story of Baby and Johnny will be brought to life in concert-form next year, as Dirty Dancing in Concert will tour the UK, celebrating the soundtrack that defined a generation.
The 80s classic will be performed by a live band and singers live to-film on a huge screen. Audiences will experience the hit film in a unique and unforgettable way on the tour, which will feature a complete screening of the digitally remastered film with its music performed live and in sync by bands and singers, as well as an encore party following the film performing the greatest hits from it.

Saturday 30th March
Join thousands of spectators to watch The Gemini Boat Race, one of the world’s oldest and most famous amateur sporting events between the Oxford and Cambridge University.
The race takes place between Putney and Mortlake, with the women’s race beginning at 2.45 pm and the men’s at 3.45 pm.
The fan zones in both Bishops Park and Furnivall Gardens offer spectators a place to enjoy food, drink and entertainment in between the races.


Sooshi Mango Off the Boat World Tour
Monday 4th March – Tuesday 5th March

From what started as a fun hobby to becoming well-known globally for their loveable and relatable characters, Sooshi Mango, a Melbourne-based comedy trio consisting of two brothers and their best friend, are performing in Shepherd’s Bush as part of their global tour.

A Seat At My Table – Women’s History Month art exhibition
Thursday 7th March – Monday 8th April

Head to Kindred Studios for an inspiring exhibition by talented local female artists, taking inspiration from the installation ‘The Dinner Party’ by Judy Chicago.
The evening, is a wonderful opportunity to meet some of the artists presenting their work, and ask them questions about their experiences in the art world.

Introduction to Wood Block Printing Workshop
Friday 8th March

Try a new skill and meet new people at the wood block printing workshops.
In the workshop, you’ll be creating some amazing prints and patterns on an organic cotton tea towel or bag with their wood blocks sourced from India. No prior experience is required, everyone is welcome.

Future Sounds Competition 
Wedensday March 21st 

Tri-borough Music Hub and The Rhythm Studio are pleased to present the final of Future Sounds 2024. This competition is for young contemporary musicians aged 11-18 in Hammersmith & Fulham; Kensington & Chelsea; and Westminster. It is organised and run by the Tri-borough Music Hub in partnership with The Rhythm Studio, with a host of supporters involved with judging, prizes and links to the music industry
Doors will open at 6.30m, the event will start at 7.00pm.

Jolie Holland has knotted together a century of American song—jazz, blues, soul, rock and roll—into some stew that is impossible to categorize with any conventional critical terminology. This is her burden and her gift, to know all of these American songs of the last ten decades in her head and her heart, and to have to wrestle with their legacy.
