A Borough Of Contrasts

A Borough Of Contrasts

If you’re new to our area, prepare to be surprised. First and foremost, Hammersmith and Fulham is a borough of contrasts. It may be the site of regeneration and redevelopment on a breathtaking scale but it’s also home to a historical heritage with 45 conservation areas covering almost half the borough. From the Grand Union Canal and Imperial Square and Gasworks to Hammersmith Odeon and the Hurlingham Club, there’s something for everyone to explore and enjoy.

We cannot hope to do justice to our local area in the space available here; we’re not even going to try. If you want to get a real sense of what it’s like to live here, just drop into our office on the Goldhawk Road, the same office that we opened in 1993. We’d love to tell you about why we love the lively yet family-focused and community-centred locality that Hammersmith and Shepherds Bush is today.
